I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome I received at this cozy hotel in a charming village. The staff's friendliness and genuine hospitality made me feel like I was part of their family. And the breakfast! So many delicious pastries, I couldn't resist taking some for later. The hotel may be simple, but it has everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place for a memorable experience.

We loved talking with owner Katerina and her husband (whose name I never could pronounce). Their hospitality is unending and their good cheer contagious. The breakfast pastries were as numerous as we'd heard (and Katerina even gave us a plastic bag to make a snack out of what we couldn't finish--we ate them on our hike that day). Our room was quiet and comfortable, with a terrace that looked over the village to the mountains. We woke to chickens and goats calling in the morning. We enjoyed Katerina's Greek coffee in the afternoon with raisins or spoon sweets as we looked at her family's heirlooms and antiques. Studios Keramos has joined with a few other local shops to create a little tourist brochure that is useful. Thank you, Katerina!

As seems common in Greece, it was tough to keep the bathroom floor dry and the beds were very firm. Some items in the room were a bit dusty. Otherwise, great!

our recent stay in zaros was delightful. keramos exceeded our expectations, with a breathtaking mountain view and fantastic hospitality from the whole family. their homemade breakfast, featuring fresh pastries and local produce, was a highlight of our trip. highly recommended.

Wonderful hospitality (even though we didn't have a common language to converse in!). Breakfast was amazing - one earlier reviewer reported 23 separate plates of food, one day we counted up 24 between the 2 of us! Lovely warm room (despite February temperatures). Strongly recommended.

During my New Year stay, I was impressed with the warm and welcoming hospitality of the staff. The homemade breakfast was a highlight, with a wide variety of delicious Cretan pies and pastries. The generous portions ensured that I had enough for lunch as well. Additionally, the location of the hotel was ideal, offering peaceful surroundings and stunning views of the valley from the terrace. The spacious and quiet rooms provided a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Although the hotel provided a lovely experience overall, I found the Wi-Fi connection to be a bit unreliable. It was only available downstairs, making it inconvenient for those who wanted to access it from their rooms.

The owner, Katerina, and her family were so amazingly welcoming. They treated us as real 'guests'. Katerina even took us to visit a local museum which we would never have found by ourselves. The Cretan breakfast was enormous but very good. The ingredients are all local and give a real insight into rural life in Crete. We were given plastic bags to take away the unfinished food for lunch, so effectively our holiday was half-board. Our room was very comfortable. The village is fairly noisy due to the large number of cocks, hens and goats - real local colour.

We loved our extended stay at Keramos! The hosts welcomed us warmly to their charming familial home. Our room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the village and mountains. The breakfast was delicious and catered to all tastes. The hotel is conveniently located, close to the Rouvas Gorge trail and delicious restaurants. Free parking was available. The hospitality from the hosts and the visit to the family farm were memorable experiences. Highly recommended for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Well worth a visit - it was like stepping back in time away from the north coast tourist areas. We received a very warm welcome, awoke to the smell of baking & were not disappointed when breakfast arrived - a huge array of delicious freshly baked pastries. Keramos is a lovely old house furnished with antiques & old photographs of Cretan life & our balcony overlooked the village rooftops to the mountains beyond. It is a beautiful area & I wish we had spent a little more time exploring.
